Two Cooling Options with BooBoo Cooler™

BooBoo Cooler™ was designed with kids in mind, giving parents and caregivers a simple way to comfort little ones after a bump, bruise, or minor injury. What makes it unique is that there are two different ways to use it, depending on the situation.

1. With the Blue Snowflake On – Gentle Cooling

When the blue snowflake layer is left on, the cooling sensation is soft and gentle. This option is designed for comfort and reassurance more than intense cold. Young children especially like this setting—it feels soothing without being too strong, helping them calm down quickly.

2. With the Blue Snowflake Off – Strong Cooling

Removing the blue snowflake layer gives a much stronger cooling effect. This setting is best when a more powerful chill is needed, such as after a minor burn or a harder bump. Adults using BooBoo Cooler™ will often prefer this option since the gentle cooling may feel too mild for them.

How Long the Cold Lasts

BooBoo Cooler™ is designed to stay cold for around 15-20 minutes—long enough to comfort a child and help stop the tears. However, how long it feels cool depends on when and how it’s applied:

Placed immediately on the skin after coming out of the freezer – It will feel cold right away and the body will “remember” that cooling sensation, which can make the area feel cold even for several hours.

Handled or fumbled with before placing – The BooBoo Cooler™ warms up in the hands and loses its chill. In that case, it won’t feel as cold when finally applied.

Adjusting the Cooling Intensity

The way BooBoo Cooler™ is applied also changes how strong the cooling feels:

Wrapped snugly (like around a finger): Feels much colder.

Placed loosely on the skin: Feels more gentle and mild.

This flexibility lets parents adjust the experience for each child’s comfort level.

Designed for Kids, Adaptable for Adults

BooBoo Cooler™ was created for young kids, who don’t need (or want) an ice-cold pack pressed against their skin. The gentle option with the blue snowflake on is often exactly what they want—it provides comfort, distraction, and calm.

For adults, however, that mild effect may feel too soft. In those cases, simply remove the blue snowflake layer to get the stronger cooling effect.
