BooBoo Cooler® was invented by a mom in Miami for her two girls—Lia, age 7, and Hailey, age 3—who seemed to ask for bandages for every little bump, even when there wasn’t a drop of blood. There was just something magical about a bandage that made them feel better, something that an ice pack never quite did. But while bandages gave comfort, they didn’t actually help the boo-boo feel physically any better, though they did provide emotional comfort. What her girls really needed was the cooling comfort of an ice pack.
To Solve a Real Problem
The problem? Ice packs were big, bulky, messy, and never stayed put on a child’s small boo-boo. So she knew there had to be a better way.
BooBoo Cooler® was born from that moment—a bandage that combines the magical comfort kids crave with the cooling comfort they actually need.
Inspired by Kids, Built with Kids
The two girls were part of the journey from the very beginning. Lia designed the very first logo, and both girls filled the house with colorful drawings that inspired the earliest designs. They were instantly drawn to bold, vibrant colors—so that’s what was made central to BooBoo Cooler®.
BooBoo Cooler® also solved another pain point every parent knows too well: the tears that come when it’s time to take the bandage off. That’s why BooBoo Cooler® is made with a gentle adhesive—secure enough to stay in place, but gentle enough that it doesn’t hurt to remove.
